Hi Nessi,

I'm glad that you pointed out the similarity between this lovely poem and the one I wrote entitled "The Grove"...

When I wrote The Grove...
I was trying to think of a place, that evoked Peace and timelessness.

I can see from your poem... that we both sense an abiding Peace, in the abeyance of ancient Trees...

Rooted in the Earth... reaching for the sky...
weathering harsh weather, unquestioning the reason of the seasons, remaining, standing steadfast with an infinite patience.
It is hard not to ascribe Wisdom to such... for surely they have been here much longer than us...
and the love of Peace is a fruit of wisdom.

You have evoked this feeling so well in your poem...
eloquently... gently, as light streaming through the leaves.

And I have duly noted your use of the words... solace, sentinel, silence, and refuge.

All words that can be found in The Grove...
hopefully evoking a feeling similar to the one that you have captured so effortlessly in this poem.

Thank you for posting this!

This is almost eerie :)
