I did a practice one, first.
I placed a piece of cardboard, torn from the back of a pad....and ground an ink stick down...I loaded up and watered my wolf brush down and drew a straight line against the cardboard edge..and dipped and watered again...
You can do much with a cardboard straight edge.
You just tip it up and draw the cardboard down. That's how you make the water.
This is a very great painting.
I am sorry this appeared so large.
It is framed in a cherry wood frame.
It has a mat of white around it.
It is a Christmas Present for my Father.

I think all the graduations of black are really good for expression.
