Sedaka is a two stanza poem each stanza is 7-7-5. Any subject is fine with this.

I dance in darkness, touching
parts of myself that the wind
fondles with menace,

Music streams inside my ears,
my feet touch the velvet skin
of wavering night.

~

At dawn, pores close, open eyes
carve shapes from a sunlit sky,
blue water inlet

touches the tips of my toes,
circles of clouds reflect out,
skimming still dark hills.

~

Mid-day the tapestry march,
sewing a floral pattern
on dancing flat feet

Floral designs, curling out
stamen riding to middle...
on this I shall sleep.
